36BC Amyntas becomes King of Galatia. Includes Galatia proper (home of the 3 tribes), Pisidia, Lycaonia and parts of Pamphylia.  
31BC Cilicia Tracheia added to kingdom from Egypt after Actium.        
25BC King Amyntas killed in ambush. Galatia receives a Roman governor Lollis pro praetore. Provincia organised, except Cilicia Tracheia given to king of Cappadocia.  
6-5BC King Deiotaros Philadelphos of Paphlagonia dies and Paphlagonia (cities of Gangra and Pompeiopolis) is attached to Galatia.  
3-2BC Pontus Galaticus (cities of Amaseia, Comana and Sebastopolis) added to Galatia.    
34/35 Priest state of Comana Pontica added to Galatia.          
43 Pamphylia detached and merged with Lycia into new province of Lycia-Pamphylia    
55 Galatia merged with Cappadocia into one province of Galatia-Cappadocia.      
64 Pontus Polemoniacus (cities of Cerasus, Neocaesarea, Sebasteia, Trapezus and Zela) added to Galatia.  
66 Galatia and Cappadocia split into two provinces.          
69 Pamphylia again added to Galatia.            
72 Armenia Minor added to Galatia.            
76 (70-74?) Galatia and Cappadocia again fused into one province, Galatia-Cappadocia. Legio XII Fulminata stationed in Cappadocia in 70.  
112 Cappadocia, Armenia Minor, Pontus Polemoniacus and Pontus Galaticus detached from Galatia, all become part of new consular province Cappadocia.  
112 Galatia continues as praetorian province with Galatia proper, Paphlagonia, Pisidia, Phrygia and Lycaonia. No permanent legions stationed in province.  
c.138/161 Under Antoninus Pius the southern part of Lycaonia becomes part of new province of Cilicia. Northern part remains with Galatia.  
c.162 Coastal cities of Abonuteichos/Ionopolis, Sinope and Amisos attached.
